Question 6 months ago on Step 5. Question 1 year ago on Step 3. I'm a little confused after reading about the notes on a "C" harmonica.

Can you please clarify what the oddities are in holes 2, 7, and 10? I've tried to comprehend the differences, but cannot understand what these may be. Thank you! Answer 1 year ago. They break the pattern of moving smoothly up a major scale with alternating inhales and exhales blows and draws.

Sometimes the pattern of blows and draws changes, sometimes notes in the scale are skipped or repeated. Maybe the attached graphic will make it clearer. See if you can follow the major scale up the harmonica and note the pattern of blows and draws. On holes 2, F is skipped. Between 2 and 3, G is repeated.

On 3, A is skipped. On hole 7, the order of blow and draw switches, and it stays that way for the next octave. On hole 10, B is skipped.

Hope that helps. Reply 1 year ago. Thank you for responding with this explanation. I do now understand as your graphic really helps to clarify the major scale.
